Al Jazeera, showing a letter it said it had received from the militants, reported earlier that de la Cruz had been moved "to the place of implementing the punishment."
It showed brief footage of a video tape in which it said de la Cruz appealed to Arroyo to swiftly withdraw troops from Iraq so he could return to his family alive.
De la Cruz was wearing orange overalls, similar to those issued to prisoners at the U.S. Guantanamo Bay detention center, and standing in front of masked captors with automatic weapons.

Okay, I have two questions:
How many more hostages need to die before their governments risk losing power because of continued bloodshed in a very unpopular war? Isn't the loss of American life tweaking your consciences?
